My name is Rachele and I'm a 10-year-old girl. I use the Pomodoro Technique to do my homework because it's very hard for me to stay concentrated for a long time.
With the Pomodoro Technique I can finish my homework more quickly and still do a good job. The tick-tock of the timer helps me a lot: I don’t know why but it makes me concentrate better. Once I tried using a silent timer, but my Mom had to keep reminding me to finish my homework.
One advantage of this technique is that I can do an exercise without stopping and then I can take a 5 minute break. Before I could never finish an exercise without getting distracted.
When I'm concentrating I can't wait for the timer to go off, and then when I have my 5 minute break I wish it would last forever. I think that the break time should be 10 minutes, but the "rules" say less time, so I take 5 minutes and finish my homework sooner.
